On April 18, 2025, the Networking Lunch: Challenges for Women to Become Entrepreneurs hosted by Women in Tech®Vietnam and Women Tech Entrepreneurs (WTE) took place successfully, gathering over 40 guests from various sectors.
The event served as a space to share the unique challenges women face on their entrepreneurial journey, while also offering a warm, empowering environment for connection, inspiration, and mutual support among women leaders, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts.
🎤 As a special guest, Ms. Ho Thanh Huong, Vice Head of the C100 Science Business Community and former CEO of VinFast & Subaru Vietnam, delivered a powerful talk on the obstacles women encounter in entrepreneurship -ranging from societal expectations and family burdens to health issues and the pressure of juggling multiple roles.
However, she also emphasized that women possess many unique “gifts” such as patience, sensitivity, empathy, and above all, resilience. These qualities, she said, are vital in helping women rise and thrive as successful leaders and entrepreneurs.
🗣 A highlight of the event was a panel discussion on:
"Forecasting the Impact of New Tariff Policies on the IT Industry in Vietnam and the U.S."
with insights from:
Mr. Toan Ngo – Vice President of VNITO Alliance, Co-founder & Chairman of anaX Solutions
Mr. An Mai – Senior Advisor of Women in Tech Vietnam, Chairman of ITD Group, Chairman of IMT Solutions
Ms. Ho Thanh Huong – Vice Chair of C100 Science Business Community, former CEO of VinFast and Subaru Vietnam
Key discussion points included:
📍 The challenges Vietnamese companies are facing amid rapid and unpredictable changes in U.S. tariff policies on Vietnamese goods
📍 The feasibility of shifting tech supply chains from China to Vietnam – is it a real opportunity?
📍 The increasing importance of R&D and human capital management, especially as the global economy undergoes value chain restructuring and innovation becomes a critical driver of survival.
